雅賽（Perfecto Yasay Jr.）上午在ABS-CBN電視台新聞節目中稱，他在蒙古出席第11屆亞歐會議時，與李克強在場邊對話。
他說，李克強要求菲國勿在會上評論南海仲裁結果，「而是到外頭，或是忽視仲裁結果，展開雙邊對話。」
這位代理外交部長表示理解北京的立場，但他回應，這有違菲國憲法及菲國利益。
雅賽並透露，中方甚至表示，如果馬尼拉堅持仲裁結果，雙方「只有走向對抗」。
菲律賓於2013年將南海爭議提交國際仲裁，南海案仲裁庭7月12日公布裁決結果，宣布大陸南海9段線在國際法之下沒有效力。
雅賽說，「我們的立場是，在與對方談判時，我們必須確保不違反自己的法律。」
他重申，即使南海案裁決有利菲國，但菲律賓政府將繼續透過和平方式，尋求解決爭議之道，此外，馬尼拉也對未來展開協商持開放態度。1050719
